The blue shirt designed by Lydia Cheng. Research the iconic tailored shirt from it’s beginning to the more recent iterations of Jaquemus and Palmer Harding. Investigate the specific historical components of the shirt: collar and stand, yokes, pleats, types of closures, sleeve cuffs and plackets. Discuss various shirt fits as they relate to the body. Students then explore various means of adjusting the fit and proportions of the shirt to fit a range of body types and proportions via 3D experimentation and development to create a shirt that will fit a range of sizes and body proportions.
